Radnor Teacher Accused Sexual Contact With Student Arraigned

RADNOR, PA — The Archbishop John Carroll High School music teacher accused of giving students THC-laced foods and having sexual contact with a student was arraigned and released on bail Wednesday.

Jeremiah Triplett, 30, of Dresher, appeared in court Wednesday after surrendering to Radnor Police.

Triplett is facing charges of felony institutional sexual assault, felony unlawful contact with a minor, two counts of both endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of minors, and one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Triplett was released after posting 10 percent of $20,000 bail, court records show.

He is slated to appear for his preliminary hearing on May 30, according to court documents.

Radnor Police on March 26 got information about possible sexual contact between a male teacher at Archbishop Carroll High School, identified as Triplett, and a juvenile female student, the Delaware County District Attorney's office said.

Police said Triplett allegedly gave THC-laced food to students on multiple occasions.
The DA's office alleges Triplett gave THC laced edibles, including brownies and Nutella crackers, to two students.

Triplett is accused of bringing plastic bags of brownies and shopping bags full of mini-liquor bottles to school to share with the two students.

Authorities said Triplett also vaped nicotine products with the juveniles, blowing the smoke into one another's mouths.

During these contacts, Triplett also kissed the female victim and grabbed her buttocks, telling her he could not wait until she turned 18 years old, the DA's office alleges.
According to the DA's office, Triplett will surrender to authorities with his attorney on May 1 and is scheduled to be arraigned at 11 a.m

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia said it notified the school community on March 26 that Triplett was placed on leave due to the allegations.

"Prior to beginning employment at Archbishop Carroll, Mr. Triplett obtained clear criminal record checks as well as child abuse clearances," the archdiocese said in statement. "In addition, he completed mandatory Safe Environment training programs. His status remains administrative leave at this time pending the outcome of law enforcement's investigation."
