Radnor Township Building Closing For 2 Weeks

Parking enforcement will be relaxed and trash and recycling collections will go on as normal during the closure, however.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — With concerns over the new coronavirus, known as COVID-19, growing, Radnor Township said it is closing its doors.

The township said effective 2 p.m. Monday, the Radnor Township Municipal Building is closing for two weeks.

Officials said this is in line with county and state guidelines.

After 14 days, the township will reevaluate the closure and make any changes to the situation.

Monday night, the Board of Commissioners are hosting an emergency meeting that will extend the township's emergency declaration. The meeting is closed to the public but will be uploaded to YouTube afterward.

During the township build's closure, parking enforcement will be relaxed, but restrictions will still be enforced in fire lanes and handicapped parking spaces.

Trash and recycling collections will go on normally, but bulk and yard waste pickups are suspended for the 14 days.

While parks are open, their restrooms will be closed for the season. All permitted and organized usage is restricted for two weeks through Monday, March 30 and will be re-evaluated at that time.
