Conestoga Road Tunnel LED Lighting Project Completed

The Radnor Township Engineering Department recently announced the completion of the Conestoga Road Tunnel Lighting Safety Project. As seen in the images below, the new lighting improves safety for motorists using the tunnel and was designed per Pennsylvania Department of Transportation specifications.

The project entailed replacing two metal halide lights that no longer met tunnel lighting requirements with an array of LED lights. The LED array has two settings: one for daytime driving and one for nighttime drivers.

This safety project is just one of many safety projects the Engineering Department has in various stages of design or construction.
