10-22-13 Radnor Township School District (RTSD) Board Meeting, Part 3 of 4. In this segment: Item 19:  ASSIGNMENT OF 2012-2013 FUND BALANCE. A review of the fund balance per the preliminary work completed by the District audit team for FY 2012-2013 indicates that the total General Fund Balance will be approximately $19.422 million. In compliance with Act 48 of 2003 the Finance Committee and Administration are recommending that $4,701,721 of this fund balance amount be assigned to the following designated categories for the year ending 6/30/2013: (1) Assignment and transfer of $1,566,000 to the RTSD Capital Reserve Fund in anticipation of that level of expenditure for upcoming 2014-2015 Capital Projects. (2) Transfer of $3,135,721 to the RTSD Facilities Initiative Account placed in reserve for future facilities needs throughout the District.

The above action will leave $6,616,851 in unassigned/undesignated fund balance in keeping with the requirements set forth in Act 48 of 2003.
