REFUSE/RECYCLE/YARD WASTE/HOLIDAY SCHEDULE:

  • Monday – District 1 Refuse and Yard Waste
  • Tuesday – District 2 Refuse and Yard Waste
  • Wednesday – District 1 Recycling and Yard Waste
  • Thursday - District 2 Recycling and Yard Waste
  • Friday - Holiday

Leaf Collection: On December 21, 2020, we will continue in District 1 until complete, then move on to District 2.

UTILITIES:

  • PECO subcontractor, Kehoe Construction, will be performing trench restoration in the South Devon area.
  • Gas main work on Boxwood Rd. will continue through the first quarter of 2021.
  • Please see the 2021 schedule for Miller Bros. crews in Radnor Township, pending weather / unforeseen circumstances:

2021 Scope

  • Darby Paoli Road is closed to traffic for PENNDOT bridge work at the Willows Park entrance. The project is anticipated to last for the remainder of 2020.
  • Aqua will be installing 2,104 feet of Water Main and water services on Radnor Street Road, starting at Eagle and working down to Walnut. They will proceed on Walnut to Woodland. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents will have access.

Radnor Township Department of Recreation

All In-Person Youth Recreational Programming and Events are currently on hold until January as per the 12/10/2020 Order of the Governor.

Virtual/On-Your-Own Programming

Community Events:

  • 8th Annual Santa’s Delivery - Gift Delivery took place on Sunday, December 6th starting at 12:00 PM with 5 motorcades of Township and Emergency Services vehicles traversing the Township with lights and sirens. 625 households participated with more than 1,400 gifts – this is a 13% increase from 2019.   • NEW! Make A Contribution, Make a Connection this Holiday Season – Radnor Recreation has teamed up to offer the community several ways to give and share through the Radnor Township Civic Association, Wayne Senior Center, and the Women’s Resource Center!
  • 6th Annual Garrett Hill Tree Lighting – Event took place on Sunday, November 29th at 5:30 PM and via Facebook Live with great success with over 50 participants. Please visit the event webpage for more information for pictures and information.

Park & Recreation Facilities:

  • Current Status Amidst Covid-19 - All Parks & Trails and corresponding amenities are OPEN for public usage. Public users please pay close attention to the signage that has been posted regarding safe practices for usage and mask wearing.
  • Permitted park/field usage and recreational programming for youths has been paused per the 12/10/2020 order of the Governor.
  • Radnor Activity Center is now CLOSED due to the 12/10/2020 order of the Governor.
  • The Saw Mill Park sign was installed on Friday 12/11/2020.

Radnor Township Department of Engineering

  • Meet with PECO for 2021 gas main installation project outline
  • Meet with Aqua for 2021 water line installation project outline
  • Site visits to Harford Trail and Morris Road Streetscape Projects
  • Obtain Easements for Lancaster Avenue Sanitary sewer project, West Wayne Sidewalk Project, North Wayne/Eagle Road Sidewalk Project, North Wayne/west Avenue Pedestrian Project
  • Review bid received for Arthur Lane Storm Sewer
  • Precon for Cumberland
  • Respond to builders’ and developer’s inquiries
  • Perform Site Inspections
  • Meter Bridge close out
  • Review land development application plans
  • Continuing weekly meetings with consultants (Carroll, Gilmore, Gannett Fleming) on all infrastructure projects
  • Process grading permit, clearing, sidewalk, and U&O applications
  • Address resident concerns
  • Respond to and meet with residents on various concerns
