DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

REFUSE/RECYCLE/YARD WASTE SCHEDULE:

  • Monday: District 1 Refuse
  • Tuesday: District 2 Refuse
  • Thursday: District 1 Recycling & Township-wide Yard Waste
  • Friday: District 2 Recycling & Township-wide Yard Waste
  • Yard Waste: Note that the Thursday/Friday pickup is only during the COVID-19 Emergency Declaration period. Service will return to Wednesdays once the declaration is lifted. Recycling collection will not be interrupted.

UTILITIES:

  • Miller Brothers continues PECO gas main work in the South Devon area & Beaupre sections of the Township. Also, South Devon Ave. will be closed a block at a time for gas main installation for approximately 4 to 5 weeks. Starting at Conestoga and working toward Calvarese Lane.
  • Darby Paoli Road remains closed for PENNDOT bridge work.
  • County Line Road closure between Matsonford Rd. & North Spring Mill (320):
  • PECO will be performing tree trimming
  • County Line will be closed weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. & Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Residents will have access to their homes
  • The project is to last 2 weeks
  • PECO continues to replace 42 Telephone poles on County Line Road in the area of Wistar Road.
  • Bloomingdale Avenue closure from West Wayne to Runneymede Ave. May 11th to May 19th for private sewer work.
  • Conestoga Road: Parks Run to South Aberdeen & a portion of North Wayne PECO paving restoration starting Monday, May 11th.
  • Roberts Road will be closed between Robinhood and Woodlea Roads from May 4th to August 7th for Culvert work.
  • Bryn Mawr Avenue: continued lane restrictions for PENNDOT bridge work.

DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING

  • Morris Road: finalize scope of work to include sidewalk and tree removal at Clover & Morris
  • Roberts Road Culvert: weekly meeting on progress of construction
  • Radnor TAP Trail: ongoing meeting on easement agreements, with RTSD, Penn MED, and Cornerstone
  • West Wayne access to Friends of the Radnor Trail Park: reviewing proposed SWM system for WWP
  • Review plans for West Wayne TAP Spur and present to Manager
  • Lancaster Avenue Sidewalk, Barleycone to Garrett Avenue – meet with Gilmore for update, including the following:
    • North Wayne Sidewalk
    • Poplar – North Wayne Pedestrian Safety Project
  • PECO gas meeting to finalize plans for gas relocation:
    • Regarding the Malin Road Culvert – concerns with PECO methodology for the project
    • Regarding the South Wayne Flood Reduction Project – finalizing relocation, street versus sidewalk
  • Darby Paoli Multi-Use Trail: meeting to discuss review comments
  • Respond to builders’ and developers’ inquiries
  • Perform Site Inspections
  • Review land development application plans
  • Continuing weekly meetings* with consultants (Carroll, Gilmore, Gannett Fleming) on all infrastructure projects
  • Process grading permit, clearing, sidewalk, and U&O applications

DEPARTMENT OF RECREATION

  • New Programming Available:
    • Family Disney Trivia Night – SOLD OUT - Radnor’s first live virtual family trivia night will take place on Wednesday, May 13th at 7:00 PM via Zoom/Kahoot platforms.
    • Nature Photo Scavenger Hunt – Explore your backyard, neighborhood, or parks and participate to find all the fun and exciting things you can on our checklist! Read more on this independent program at our website.
    • Radnor Day Camp – Communication will continue with Radnor Day Camp families as we plan in anticipation of several different camp scenarios that may offered this summer – we are beginning to narrow this focus.

    • Park Little Libraries now serving as Little Pantries – each of our park ‘give a book, take a book’ little libraries will now be serving as pantries (these are located at Encke Park and two additional will be installed next week at Odorisio Park and Warren Filipone Park). During this time of COVID-19 emergency declaration in Radnor Township, all Little Free Libraries in our parks will serve to support families in need by providing a discrete place where people can freely donate and retrieve non-perishable food items to assist their families.
    • Daily updates, videos, and weekly residents challenges are posted via the Department’s Facebook page and new Instagram page
    • Parks & Recreation Board Meeting: Thursday, May 14th live streamed via zoom at 6:30 PM.

DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE

  • Business tax filing deadline has been extended from May 15th to September 15th. Updated tax forms are available at www.radnor.com.
