DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

REFUSE/RECYCLE/YARD WASTE SCHEDULE:

  • Monday: District 1 Refuse
  • Tuesday: District 2 Refuse
  • Thursday: District 1 Recycling & Township-wide Yard Waste
  • Friday: District 2 Recycling & Township-wide Yard Waste
  • Yard Waste: Note that the Thursday/Friday pickup is only during the COVID-19 Emergency Declaration period. Service will return to Wednesdays once the declaration is lifted. Recycling collection will not be interrupted.

UTILITIES:

  • Miller Brothers continues PECO gas main work in the South Devon area & Beaupre sections of the Township.
  • Along with the above work South Devon Ave. will be closed a block at a time for gas main installation for approximately 4 - weeks. Starting at Conestoga Road and working toward Calavrese Lane.
  • Darby Paoli Road remains closed for PENDOT bridge work.
  • County Line Road closure between Matsonford Road. & North Spring Mill Road (320)
  • PECO will be performing tree trimming
  • County Line will be closed weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. & Saturdays 9a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Residents will have access to their homes
  • The project is to last 1 week
  • PECO continues to replace 42 Telephone poles on County Line Road in the area of Wistar Road.
  • Bloomingdale Avenue closure from West Wayne to Runneymede Avenue May 11th to May 19th for private sewer work.
  • Miller Brothers installing gas main on Strathmore – Berwood Road to Conestoga Road – work hours 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the project lasting approximately 8 weeks.
  • Roberts Road will be closed between Robinhood and Woodlea Roads from May 4th to August 7th for Culvert work.
  • Bryn Mawr Avenue - continued lane restrictions for PENDOT bridge work.

DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING

  • Morris Road: finalize scope of work to include sidewalk and tree removal at Clover & Morris; awaiting change in scope cost from Carroll Engineering.
  • Roberts Road Culvert: meeting with PECO and Loftus Construction over relocating gas line in the project area.
  • Radnor TAP Trail: attending RTSD Facilities Committee Meeting to present TAP Trail easements.
  • TAP Spur & West Wayne access to Friends of the Radnor Trail Park – reviewing three versions of the plan, to later present to the Manager and Ward Commissioner.
  • Lancaster Avenue Sidewalk, Barleycone to Garrett Avenue – meet with Gilmore for update, including the following:
    • North Wayne Sidewalk
    • Poplar – North Wayne Pedestrian Safety Project
  • PECO gas meeting to finalize plans for gas relocation:
    • Regarding the Malin Road Culvert – concerns with PECO methodology for the project
  • Respond to builders’ and developers’ inquiries.
  • Perform Site Inspections.
  • Review land development application plans.
  • Continuing weekly meetings* with consultants (Carroll, Gilmore, Gannett Fleming) on all infrastructure projects.
  • Process grading permit, clearing, sidewalk, and U&O applications

New Programming Available:

  • Radnor Day Camp – Another Live Informational Session will be held on Tuesday May 19th at 7:00 PM to discuss the various options/ to provide participant engagement.   • The Radnor Proud Pledge (Click here for details about the Radnor Proud Pledge) It encourages residents to get creative with a chance to win one of two awesome prizes! Winners will be announced on June 1st!
  • Park Little Libraries now serving as Little Pantries – located at Encke Park, Odorisio Park and Warren Filipone Park. During the COVID-19 emergency declaration, the Little Free Libraries in our parks will serve as a way to support families in need by providing a discrete place where people can freely donate and retrieve non-perishable food items to assist their families.
