Dear Radnor Community,

As Halloween festivities approach, the Radnor Township Office of Emergency Management wishes to provide you with current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As we have throughout the Governor’s Emergency Declaration for COVID-19, we will continue to leverage expert resources like the CDC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health to keep you updated on safe and healthy practices during the pandemic.
Halloween is fast approaching, and it serves as an opportunity to make safe choices and to enjoy the fun. With that said, the CDC is recommending that we remain diligent in our mitigation efforts to prevent the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19 and to consider these strategies when planning holiday events. Please review the CDC guidance for Fall events and holidays at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/holidays.html

Many of the traditional activities of Halloween can be high risk for spreading viruses. There are several safer and alternative ways to celebrate Halloween. Most importantly, if you may have COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should not participate in in-person Halloween festivities and should not give out candy to trick or treaters.
As a Township we are continuously monitoring guidance to encourage the safety of our residents and businesses. We will update our website (www.radnor.com) as new guidance becomes available. Look for information from the CDC, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Chester County Health Department or the Delaware County website to find consistent, reliable information to keep you and your families safe.
For more information on Halloween activities by risk level, visit the Centers for Disease Control at https://www.cdc.gov/.
For any questions, concerns or assistance with an event, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
