Radnor To Use Smartphone Parking Payment System
Woosh! app will allow drivers to pay for parking using smartphones.
Radnor Township's Board of Commissioners voted to move forward with a digital parking payment system that will allow users to pay for parking and add time to meters through a smartphone app at Monday's meeting.
The app is called Woosh! and is free to download on Apple and Android devices. According to the app's website, users enter payment information on the initial use and don't need to enter bank or credit card information again. The information is kept secure, according to the website.
Radnor Township Police Lt. Chris Flanagan said users looking to park in the township can avoid kiosks entirely when using the app, and even add time to the meter from the app. He said the app is not required and if drivers don't want to pay the app's 31 cent convenience fee they can use the kiosks as one normally would.

Flanagan said despite users being able to add time, parking limits will still be enforced by issuing tickets.
