Radnor's Ward 1 Finally Gets Interim Commissioner
The board of commissioners also appointed a vacancy board chair. The appointments come a week after party lines prevented any appointment.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – After attempts by the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners to appoint a Ward 1 interim commissioner and a vacancy board chair failed last week, the Monday, Jan. 22 meeting was much more successful on those fronts. The board voted to fill both positions at the meeting.
The board appointed Matt Marshall as the Ward 1 interim commissioner after tapping John Smith as the vacancy board chair earlier in the meeting.
Marshall was voted in in a 4-3 vote, with all Republicans and Smith voting for Marshall.

Residents Candyce Wilson, John Larkin, Leslie Morgan, and Jim Rogers all applied to be appointed to the seat left vacant by Jim Higgins' retirement in December.
Marshall has served with the township's planning commission and has career experience in real estate, which was a selling point for Board of Commissioner Vice President Luke Clark who said the Penn Medicine issues could use a voice knowledgeable on land issues.
