Road Work Ahead On Several Radnor Streets; Trailside Cleaning Underway
Street projects around the township will affect traffic in the next few weeks, and Radnor Trail users will see tree removal going on.
RADNOR, PA — Various public works projects are going on in Radnor this week that will affect traffic on several streets, the township said.
Radnor Trail users may see changes too, as tree removal crews begin their work.
Beginning Monday, there is work on School Lane near South Wayne Avenue. A contractor will begin excavating on Tuesday or Wednesday. Work will take about two weeks.

Once the excavation begins, about 250 feet of School Lane from South Wayne Avenue will be inaccessible from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents and business owners will need to park elsewhere.
"For non-work hours, the excavation will be covered and access will be provided," the township said.

On Tuesday, Radnor Township Public Works is beginning a stormwater project at Radnor Street Road and Willow Avenue, which should last about two weeks.
The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the township said. Emergency vehicles and trash trucks will have access.
Abbinizzo Paving, who is contracted by AQUA, will begin trench restoration on Midland Avenue on July 14. They will be working on Midland between Louella and Aberdeen avenues.
"After the initial trench restoration, the contractor will be paving the road and redoing the red brick stamped cross walk," the township said. "Flaggers will be present to direct traffic."
Also, Public Works employees are working on clearing throughout the Radnor Trail.
"The tree removal crews will focus on unhealthy and unsafe trees," the township said. "The trail will remain open during project hours and safety professionals will be directing trail users around project areas. Please be aware and obey safety signs."
