RTSD Seeks Input On Student Sleep, School Start Time
An online survey seeks community input on how much sleep students get and their thoughts on school start times and potential changes.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – As the Radnor Township School District plans to issue a report on school start times and student sleep behavior at the end of the 2017-2018 school year, community members are invited to take a survey and apply to the Sleep and School Start Time Committee that will study student sleep needs and school start time.
Applications and the survey are open until Nov. 8.
Those who want to share their thoughts on the issue, but prefer not to apply to be a member of the committee, can simply complete the survey/application.

The initiative began in June this year when Superintendent Ken Batchelor and the district named the exploration of student sleep needs and school start time as one of its 2017-18 "priority projects," with a recommendation to be released by administration by the end of the 2017-18 school year, according to the district.
A recommendation on addressing student sleep needs and school start time will follow an investigation on these subjects by a committee comprised of RTSD staff members, parents, students and community members, the district said.
