RTSD Sees Adminstrative Change Up
Several district administrators are taking on new roles. Three other roles have been eliminated, as well.

WAYNE, PA – The Radnor Township School District is seeing some changes in its administrative structure after a recent board meeting where several administrators learned they will hold different roles in the upcoming school year.
According to the district, five administrative positions were modified at the June 27 board meeting:
- Maureen McQuiggan, previously the district’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development, is now the Director of Secondary Teaching and Learning.
- Anthony Rybarczyk, previously the district’s Director of Elementary Education, is now the Directory of Elementary Teaching and Learning.
- Kelly Murray, previously a Supervisor of Curriculum, is now an Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning and will also support Ithan or Radnor elementary school by fulfilling the duties of an Assistant Principal on a part-time basis.
- Jim Kearney, previously a Supervisor of Curriculum, is now an Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning and will also support Ithan or Radnor elementary school by fulfilling the duties of an Assistant Principal on a part-time basis.
Current assistant principals throughout the district will also provide curriculum support by supervising specific subject areas, the district said.

“The new structure more accurately reflects administrative roles which have changed over the years,” RTSD Superintendent Ken Batchelor, who proposed the changes, said. “Feedback from faculty, staff, administration and parents has been clear: our administrative structure needed to be improved and streamlined. We feel this revised structure will better serve our students, school building staff, and the Radnor community.”

While some positions shifted, others were cut. Those are the Supervisor of Data and Achievement, Director of Instructional Technology, and Director of Operations, the district said.
As of now, Director of Human Resources Todd Stitzel and Business Administrator Michelle Diekow supervise the district’s maintenance and facilities programs as well as fulfill their respective office’s duties, according to the district.
“During the 2017-18 school year, we will evaluate our operations structure and bring forward any possible adjustments,”Batchelor said. “In addition, we will evaluate all the administrative changes at
the end of the school year and make adjustments as necessary.”
