'Running Bee' At Wayne Elementary Promoting Healthy Living

The annual 5K run/walk will also raise funds for Wayne Elementary materials and programs in addition to encouraging healthy lifestyles.

WAYNE, PA – The Wayne Elementary School is gearing up to hosting its annual Running Bee 5K Run/Walk in mid November to promote healthy living int he community.

The annual event will be held Sunday, Nov. 12 at Wayne Elementary School, 651 W. Wayne Ave., Wayne.

The event opens for same day registration at 7:30 a.m. The 1-mile fun run starts at 8:30 and the 5K run/walk begins at 9 a.m.

Registration is $10 per student, $20 per adult, and $60 per family. Race T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 200 people to sign up.

Register online here before 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11 as prices go up after that time.

Race day events include a scenic course through the adjacent Wayne neighborhood that begins and ends at WES, a raffle for prizes from local businesses, and age-based and individual grade-level awards.

The race will be professionally timed by the Bryn Mawr Racing Co. and results will be available at the racing company's website here.

The goal of the Running Bee is to promote healthy lifestyles in the Wayne community and raise funds to support WES materials and programs.
