School Crossing Guard Needed In Radnor
Radnor Police are looking to bring on a part-time school crossing guard to help students get to school safely.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — The Radnor Township Police Department is looking to bring on a part-time school crossing guard to help get students safely to school.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, pass a criminal background investigation, child abuse clearance, and pre-employment physical including a drug test. A high school diploma is desired.
They must have the ability to communicate clearly and maintain an effective working relationship with the public. Additionally, they must have ability to successfully complete annual training related to position.

The employee is responsible for the safe movement of children to and from school when crossing public roadways and intersections for the Radnor Township Police Department. The work requires some independent judgment.
Assignments are received from the Supervisor of Parking and Auxiliary Services, William Gallagher, through general outlines of desired results, and the employee is expected to develop methods and routines for the completion of assigned tasks.

The physical demands of this position must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
This is outdoor work requiring employee to withstand all weather elements including heat, rain, snow, sleet and ice. Must have the ability to stand for four to six hours in a day, must also be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, kneel, lift and carry and walk. Ability to use both right and left hands and fingers for grasping, repetitive motions and fine manipulation.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus and protect children from potential hazards. Ability to talk, hear and walk without assistance. Ability to report to work and perform required duties five days a week for a minimum of four hours per day.
