Our local honeycrisps come from Rice Fruit Company in Gardners, PA. The Rice Family, the owners of the company, are in their 8th generation of apple growers. Their farm is located in the heart of Pennsylvania's "fruit belt," where the soil is ideal for fruit trees. Their fruit tends to be exceptionally sweet and juicy. Today, Rice Fruit Company is under the tutelage of four Rice brothers and together they operate the largest fresh apple packing facility east of the Mississippi.
