Six Rescued By Radnor Fire Company Amid Monday Flooding
The fire company got nearly 40 calls in a five-hour period Monday as torrential rains doused the Philadelphia region.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Six people were rescued amid Monday's flooding thanks to quick efforts by the Radnor Fire Company, which was extremely busy with Monday's heavy rains and flood condition.
According to the fire company, 37 calls came in between 7 a.m. and noon Monday.
Of those calls, 19 were for water rescues and responders eventually rescued six people while responding to those calls, the fire company said.

The fire company is urging residents to use the utmost caution while driving, saying to avoid any standing water. Additionally, the fire company says to stay clear of creeks, streams, ponds, and other kinds of waterways.
Residents should also ensure their sump pumps are working and make sure rain gutters, drains, and other water runoff tools are cleared to prevent pooling water.
