South Wayne Ave. In Radnor Closing This Weekend: PennDOT

Drivers will be detoured this weekend as crews work on pip replacement operations.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – South Wayne Avenue in Radnor Township will be closing over the weekend and drivers will be detoured, according to PennDOT.

The closure begins at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20 and ends at 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23 for pipe replacement work.

The affected portion of South Wayne Avenue is between Runnymede Avenue and West Wayne Avenue/School Lane, PennDOT said.

While the road is closed, drivers will be detoured over West Wayne Avenue and Conestoga Road, according to PennDOT.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area because slowdowns will occur.

The work on South Wayne Avenue is part of a project to repair and resurface 10 miles of state highway in Delaware County, according to PennDOT.
