South Wayne PorchFest 2019 Expands To 61 Bands On 31 Porches

The Saturday, September 14th Day of Free Music Is Open To The Public From 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

After successful events in 2017 and 2018, South Wayne PorchFest announces it has expanded for 2019 to over 60 different performances on 30 porches from St. Davids Rd through Windermere Ave and the 300 and 400 blocks of Midland Ave. The Saturday, September 14th afternoon of free music is open to the public. Music starts at 11:30 a.m. and wraps-up at 5 p.m.

South Wayne PorchFest presents a wide variety of musical options: rock, classical, Americana, bluegrass, jazz, Gospel, alt. country, indie rock, folk, a capella, R&B, Great American songbook, zydeco, ukuleles and much more.

The music streets will be closed to motor vehicle traffic so that PorchFest-goers can walk from house-to-house along South Wayne's 8/10ths of a mile of music. Public parking is nearby and accessible. As an added feature, this year there will be a variety of food vendors. The public is also encouraged to bring a picnic or patronize the terrific places to eat in Wayne. Various local school organizations will be setting up small stands along the festival route for PorchFest-goers to pick-up a snack.
