Sports Concussion Event Coming To Radnor
Experts from Penn Medicine will discuss sports concussions at the free event designed for athletes, parents, and coaches.

RADNOR, PA – Penn Medicine will be hosting a free Sport Concussion Community Night later this month to shed light on sports concussions to those it affects most: parents, coaches, and athletes.
The free event will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 31, in Conference Room 203 at Penn Medicine Radnor, 2nd Floor, 250 King of Prussia Road, Radnor.
Daniel M. Goldstein, PT, DPT, OCS, of Penn Therapy & Fitness Radnor, and Sara Slattery, MD, of Penn Medicine Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine, will share their expertise on sports concussions.

Recently, a study showed 99 percent studied former NFL player brains showed signs of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, which is a degenerative disease caused by repeated head trauma.
CNN reports out of 202 deceased former football players total – a combination of high school, college and professional players – CTE was neuropathologically diagnosed in 177, the study said.
