St. David’s Grows Clergy Staff

St. David's Episcopal Church, Radnor announces the addition of The Reverend Maurice Dyer II to its clergy staff.

WAYNE, PA ---- St. David’s Episcopal Church, Radnor announces the addition of The Reverend Maurice Dyer II to its clergy staff. Rev. Dyer, an ordained Deacon originally from Monterey Bay, CA is a May 2019 graduate of the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA where he received a Masters of Divinity degree.

Rev. Dyer comes to St. David’s with demonstrated experience working across diverse groups and cultures. While attending Seminary, Rev. Dyer was active with the campus Multicultural Ministries Department and served as Junior Chaplain at nearby Howard University in Washington, DC. Concurrent with pursuing his masters, Rev. Dyer also received a Certificate in Christian-Muslim Dialog from the Washington Theological Consortium. He earned a Certificate in Human Rights, Theology and Global Mission in El Salvador and rounded out his academic career with completed coursework in Jerusalem, Israel and Cape Town, South Africa.

In addition to Rev. Dyer’s pastoral, preaching and teaching responsibilities, he will be the Clergy representative for both the Outreach Commission and the Communications Commission at St. David’s. “We had been on an extensive 6-month search to find an additional clergy person who is a committed Christian, loving pastor, competent teacher and excellent preacher”, explained St. David’s Rector Frank Allen. “We feel that we have found that person in Rev. Dyer and that he will love our community and embrace all whom God sends our way.”
