St. Davids Resident Charlene Gaspar Dies, Other Obituaries

Listed are recent death notices for Radnor and Main Line residents.

Charlene Frances Gaspar, a 40-year resident of St. Davids and past pastor of Gladwyne United Methodist Church, Narberth United Methodist Church and Radnor United Methodist Church, died June 17 at her home.

The former nurse was featured in this 1993 Philadelphia Inquirer article.

Gaspar was an active user of Radnor Patch, especially making numerous caring comments about Logan Schweiter, who nearly died last July after getting caught in a flowing underground culvert.

"Prayers continue for this young neighborhood boy, his parents and friends. Such a tragic accident! Please let us know how we can be of help (meals, etc) during this most trying time!," she wrote on July 27, 2011.

The following day, Gaspar wrote, "He will also be placed on prayer list at Wayne United Methodist Church. Is there some way to connect with his family, and to be of assistance to them?"

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 23 at Wayne United Methodist Church.
