Superintendent Search Winding Down In Radnor Township School District
Time will tell who will replace former superintendent Dr. Michael Kelly.

The Radnor Township School District has moved into the final phase of its superintendent search, according to the district's website.
The district's Board of School Directors said last week that is has completed interviews with superintendent candidate, saying the process has been "extensive."
"This has been a very time-intensive process for the Board, and one that all nine members continue to take very seriously," the board said on the district's website. "From the coordinating of Board member and candidate schedules, to the analysis of candidates and extensive Board discussions each step of the way, we made every attempt to conduct this process with dignity, respect and an eye toward the future of Radnor."

The district said the interview process included three rounds of discussion consisting of a mix of interview questions reflecting topics brought up by stakeholder comments and "leadership and management scenarios
that tested their presentation skills and the logic/sequence they would employ in addressing specific management issues."

"We will continue to work on this project after the formal appointment of the next superintendent as we develop a superintendent evaluation process and clarify Board-superintendent roles, responsibilities and protocols," the board said on the district's website. "So there is still much work to be done."
The board said it will update the school community as the gather more information on the search.
The superintendent search began when former Superintendent Dr. Michael Kelly stepped down from the position in August. The district appointed Dr. Anthony Costello as acting superintendent for the interim months.
The district held several community meetings, where community input was noted and used to direct questions to candidates for the position.
