Taxes Going Up With 2020 Radnor Budget

The board of commissioners will vote to adopt the budget with a 6 percent tax hike on Dec. 9.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Property owners in Radnor Township will be paying more in taxes this coming year if the 2020 budget is approved.

The township board of commissioners is set to adopt the 2020 budget at its Dec. 9 meeting.

Should the budget be adopted, property owners will see a higher tax bill.

The 2020 budget stands at $34.3 million, and part of that comes from a 6 percent tax increase.

Next year's proposed millage rate was set to be 4.5352, which is .377 mills higher than the 2019 rate.

However, at their most recent meeting the commissioners changed the .377 hike to just .25, giving a total millage rate of 4.4082.

Another cost increase for residents is in the sewer fees, which will be $7.85. The 2019 rate was $7.14, reflecting a 10 percent increase.
