Theresa's Next Door Hosting 'Canwood Derby,' A Pinwood Derby With Beer
Make a derby car with an empty can of beer. Feel free to empty the can anyway you want, but drinking it is preferred.

Too old to be in scouting? Don't worry, Wayne's Theresa's Next Door and Pottstown's Sly Fox Beer are teaming up to give adults a Pinewood Derby of their own.
The only difference (OK, maybe not the only difference) is instead of pinewood, you'll use beer cans to make derby cars.
At noon on Saturday, March 4, Theresa's Next Door will welcome guests to the Canwood Derby.

The event will be quite simple.
You buy a pinewood derby kit, which includes the car and a can of Sly Fox beer, for $10. Then, you put the kit together using the empty can, which you have to empty yourself by any means.

After that, just show up to the event with your car and start racing.
Winners will go home with a case of Sly Fox beer and a sense of community service, as every car and pint of sly fox sold that day will lead to a $1 donation to local scout troops.
Theresa's Cafe Next Door is located at 124-126 N. Wayne Ave., Wayne.
