Three Radnor Roads Affected By Work Starting Monday

RADNOR, PA – PennDOT announced recently that three road in Radnor Township will be affected by various projects starting Monday.

First, PECO is scheduled to close South Wayne Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday May 22. PennDOT said the daily, weekday closures will be on going through the end of September.

The road will be closed between Lancaster Avenue and Conestoga Road for gas main installation, PennDOT said.

To accommodate the closure, motorists will be detoured over Lancaster Avenue and Conestoga Road, PennDOT said. However, local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Second, the right lanes of both east and west bound Lancaster Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday May 22 through Friday, May 22, PennDOT said.

Crews will be working on a new pedestrian bridge over Lancaster Avenue that will connect Villanova University and the SEPTA platform, PennDOT said.

Lastly, Wayne Avenue will have lane restrictions with flagging from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday,May 22 through Friday, May 26, PennDOT said.

The restrictions will be in place just north of Woodsworth Court to Poplar Avenue/Pennsylvania Avenue

Crews will be milling and paving the road, PennDOT said.
