Police in Upper Darby said the child lucky to be alive after ingesting the drugs following the mother's overdose.

UPPER DARBY, PA — A 16-month-old child was hospitalized after ingesting drugs left behind by its mother who reportedly survived a drug overdose, according to police and reports.
Upper Darby Police said luckily the child is alive after being treated when it ingested drugs.
According to CBS Philadelphia, the child chewed on a heroin baggie that was laced with fentanyl.
