Tractor Trailer Strikes Radnor Underpass Monday Night
This time it wasn't the King of Prussia Road underpass. Rather, it was the Wayne Avenue underpass that a tractor trail got stuck under.
WAYNE, PA – A tractor trailer got stuck after it tried to clear a Radnor Township underpass that carries trains Monday night in the Wayne section of the township, according to police and witnesses. But this time it wasn't the King of Prussia Road underpass.
A tractor trailer heading north on North Wayne Avenue tried to clear the underpass, listed at 12 feet 1 inch high, and got stuck at about 5:10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8.
Radnor Township Police said the truck's driver was uninjured in the incident.

Witnesses report the truck's cab cleared the underpass, but its trailer did not.
The truck was towed from the scene and Amtrak officials said the bridge was not damaged in the incident.

Recently, Radnor Township Police issued a report showing nearly 40 trucks have hit the King of Prussia Road underpass since 2008.
Police and township officials are looking at various ways to address the persistent bridge strikes.
