Truck Gets Stuck Under Radnor Bridge Thursday: Reports

Another truck struck the King of Prussia Road-spanning Amtrak bridge Thursday in Radnor Township.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – A truck got stuck under the infamous train overpass on King of Prussia Road in Radnor Township Thursday night, according to reports.

According to CBS Philadelphia, a cement mixer truck struck the Amtrak overpass on King of Prussia Road in Radnor.

The incident occurred at about 3:40 p.m. Thursday.

The Delaware County Daily Times reports no one was hurt when the truck, owned by Delaware Valley Concrete Inc., struck the bridge, which was not damaged in the incident.

According to Main Line Media News, a box truck struck the train bridge on Ithan Avenue in Villanova shortly before the King of Prussia Road incident occurred.

The KOP Road bridge has been involved in numerous incidents where it has been struck.

A 10 feet, 10 inches clearance sign is posted on either side of the underpass to alert drivers of the bridge's low ceiling.

Radnor officials have battled with how to address bridge strikes in the area as the number of strikes increases.
