Two Suspects Sought in Delco Home Invasion, Shooting: Police

The suspects are armed.

A Delaware County home was victim to an armed robbery attempt where shots were fired on Sunday, according to police.

Ridley Park Borough Police said they are working with the Delaware County District Attorney's Office to investigate the attempted robbery, which occurred Sunday afternoon.

Police told Delaware County Daily Times that at about 3:30 p.m., two men entered a Ridley Park home and exchanged gun fire with the homeowner, as well as became involved in a physical fight with the homeowner.

Police said the homeowner suffered minor injuries after being grazed by a bullet during the fight.

Police said early investigations lead officials to believe this incident was possibly a case of a mistaken address and that the encounter was not random.

Police said the suspects fled the area in a vehicle before police arrived.

According to the Delaware County Daily Times, the suspects were described as black males standing about 5 foot 9 inches medium and heavier builds. The heavier suspect had facial hair, according to reports. Both men are suspected to be in their 30s or 40s, the outlet said.

The victims provided a sketch artist with information to aid in creating the attached composite drawings, which are show above.

Police are asking the public to contact them at (610) 362-7401 – or call 911 – if anyone saw any thing suspicious on Sunday, Oct. 16, or if anyone recognizes the two suspects.

Police are urging the public not to approach of confront the suspects, as they are armed.
