Wayne, PA – October 8, 2015 – With the start of the new school year this August, Valley Forge Military College (VFMC), The Military College of Pennsylvania™, officially launched its Residential Student program. The Residential Student program at VFMC, provides another option for students to earn their degree from the accredited, co-educational, military college, in addition to their Corps of Cadets, and Commuter student options.
Vice President for Enollment Management, Jamieson Bilella, notes “Valley Forge Military College is about the development of individuals. Our Five Cornerstones provide a set of domains for individual growth, with each program designed to support one or more of them. The Residential Student option provides another option to experience the academic, athletic, and professional development advantages of an education at Valley Forge Military College. Residential students take full advantage of the faculty, student support services, athletics, and convenience of on-campus residency as they live and study in one of three residence halls.”
Bilella notes that residential students are able to earn their degree while also learning the importance of personal presentation, perseverance, time management, critical thinking, and problem solving. Students are afforded opportunities on the athletic fields, in the classroom, and through student life to be involved and to demonstrate academic excellence, character, and leadership. Students engage in the leadership curriculum, academic honor societies, student government, athletic teams, choir, student clubs, community service events, and more.
