Villanova Alumi Brew Up A Tribute To Their Alma Mater's Anniversary

The Demisemiseptcentennial Ale from Cape May Brewing Company celebrates the 175th anniversary of the Main Line institution.

Two Villanova University alumi are honoring their alma mater in the way they know best: beer.

In recognition of the institution's 175th anniversary, Ryan Krill and Chris Henke who own and operate Cape May Brewing Company in Cape May, New Jersey, debuted the Demisemiseptcentennial Ale.

“As we approached the University’s 175th anniversary, we wanted to plan a year-long celebration that was fun and engaging for all Villanovans,” said Christin Quisenberry, Villanova’s Director of Presidential Initiatives and Events. “Lots of activities are scheduled on campus, and we wanted to be sure to find ways to include our alumni throughout the region and around the world in this celebration, too. That’s where Ryan and Chris come in.”

According to BrewBound.com, the commemorative beer is "brewed with a sampling of German Pilsner malt, Cape May Brewing Company’s house ale yeast strain, and a hefty dose of Centennial hops."

"The result is an easy-drinking and imminently quaffable brew, perfect for cheering the Wildcats to victory this basketball season," the beer lover's outlet reports.
