Villanova Home Burglarized In Recent Days: Radnor Police

Police said the burglary occurred over the last nine days and was only discovered when the resident's relative checked on the home Friday.

VILLANOVA, PA – Radnor Township Police said a home in the Villanova section of the township was the victim of a burglary in recent days.

According to police, a home on the 400 block of Inveraray was burglarized sometime over the last nine days.

The break in was discovered when a relative of the homeowner checked on the house Friday, Jan. 9 and found a unknown amount of jewelry had been stolen.

Police said the burglar or burglars got inside the home through an unlocked side window

"There were no footprints in the snow, so it is believed to have occurred within the last nine days prior to the most recent snow," police said in an alert.

Anyone with information on the burglary, including the identity of the suspect, or who witnessed suspicious activity in the area is urged contact Radnor Police Department’s Investigations Unit at (610) 688-0503.

Police are to reminding residents to make sure doors and windows are locked when leaving their residences or retiring for the evening.

Burglar alarms should be set if the residence has a security system, police said.

Lastly, anyone who sees suspicions people, vehicles, or activity in their neighborhoods should call 911 immediately, police said.
