Villanova University 2016 Literary Festival
Special event Thursday at 7 p.m. at Falvey Memorial Library will feature reading and talk by Dr. Asali Solomon.

The Africana Studies Program in conjunction with Villanova University’s 18th Annual Literary Festival presents the Ida B. Wells Lecture featuring author Asali Solomon, PhD. Please join us on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in Speakers’ Corner of Falvey Memorial Library for a reading and talk given by Dr. Solomon, one of the Literary Festival’s featured speakers.
Dr. Solomon is the author of the novel Disgruntled. She received a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers' Award for her stories collected in Get Down, her first book; the volume was also a finalist for the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award. In 2007 she was named one of the National Book Foundation's “5 Under 35.” Dr. Solomon teaches English at Haverford College. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and two sons.
At the event, Dr. Solomon will read selections from her novel Disgruntled.
