Villanova University Building Reopens After Gas Odor Report

Local emergency services gave the university the OK to reenter Mendel Hall

A Villanova University building was evacuated due to a gas odor Tuesday afternoon, according to university officials. Luckily, local emergency crews responded quickly and reopened the building at about 3:30 p.m., officials said.

Mendel Hall was evacuated after the school received a report of a gas odor in the building at about 3 p.m., officials said.

The building was evacuated as a precautionary measure, but emergency responders found no issues in the building, officials said.
