Waldron Mercy Academy Gives Back For Martin Luther King Day
Students and their families sewed pillowcases, made blankets, and drew handmade cards for people who are hospitalized.

MERION STATION, PA — The community at Merion Station's Waldron Mercy Academy recently spent the day giving back to the community on Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.
Students, families, and faculty members chose to spend their day off working to provide cheer and comfort to hospitalized individuals.
Students 3 to 14 years old and their families sewed pillowcases, made blankets, and drew handmade cards.

Local hospitalized children will receive the colorful pillowcases and cards will through the Philadelphia chapter of Ryan's Case for Smiles.
The blankets will be donated to patients at Lankenau Cancer Center to keep them warm during chemotherapy treatments.

The group made 82 pillowcases and 10 blankets.
