Ward 6 Residents Encouraged To Attend Parks & Rec Meeting July 12
With improvements coming to Warren Filipone Park and Bo Connor Park, Ward 6 residents are encouraged to attend to the July 12 meeting.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – With improvements coming to Warren Filipone Park and Bo Connor Park, Radnor Township Ward 6 Commissioner Jake Abel is encouraging Ward 6 residents to attend the upcoming Parks and Recreation Board Meeting.
The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 12 in the Radnorshire Room at the Radnor Township Building.
Tammy Cohen, the Director of Recreation & Community Programming, will review the tentative plans for this project at that meeting.

Both parks were recently approved to get funding for park improvement projects which are set to begin later this year.

"Specifically, the project will address several areas at Warren Filipone Park, including reconstructing the tennis courts, resurfacing the parking lot, and adding new fencing around the tennis courts and baseball fields," Abel said in a letter to the community. "At Bo Connor Park, the project calls for improvements to the retaining wall and sidewalks, replacing the bleachers, as well as replacing the fencing at the baseball field (backstop, foul lines, and street).
"I encourage anyone who is interested in hearing more about these plans at Warren Filipone Park and Bo Connor Park to attend this meeting," he said.
