Radnor's 7th Ward Finally Gets Interim Commissioner
The interim commissioner said he will likely run in the May primary in an attempt to hold onto the seat in the November general election.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Residents in Radnor Township's Ward 7 can rest a bit easier now that an interim commissioner has been appointed by the Radnor Board of Commissioners and a vacancy board elector at Monday's board meeting.
In a 4-3 vote on Dec. 11, commissioners and vacancy board elector Tom Lowy elected Sean Farhy, 43, to fill the seat left open by Phil Ahr, who resigned amid a child pornography investigation led by Delaware County authorities.
The five potential appointees – Jane Galli, Alex Yannopoulos, Scott Simon, Jonathan Heckscher, and Farhy – all told the commissioners and Lowy why they felt they should be appointed to the board.

Commissioner John Nagle nominated Farhy with Commissioner Elaine Schaeffer seconding the nomination. Commissioner Luke Clark nominated Galli, who got a second from Commissioner Rich Booker.
When the vote came, it went in favor of Farhy 4-3 with Lowy voting for Farhy, effectively killing Galli's nomination.

Farhy, who owns a small business in Havertown, will serve as the Ward 7 interim commissioner until the November 2018 election.
At the meeting Booker asked Farhy if he plans to run in the primary in may, to which Farhy responded "probably" from the crowd at Monday's meeting.
When speaking to the board, Farhy said this is the perfect time for him to serve, saying he's young enough to have the energy but old enough to have enough knowledge, wisdom, and work experience.
Farhy said he has a bachelor's degree from university of Delaware and his MBA from Drexel.
You can watch Farhy's interview with the board, as well as the entire board meeting, online here.
