Wawa Announces 19 New Or Remodeled Stores In PA

The taste of a "shorti hoagie" might be coming to a neighborhood near you.

Wawa, the convenience store known for selling fresh fruit and celebrating Hoagiefest, is opening and remodeling as many as 80 stores nationwide — and Pennsylvania is getting a fair share of them.

The chain has plans to remodel or build 19 new stores in Pennsylvania in 2016 and 2017, the company confirmed.

Most of the stores that will be remodeled will each close for about a month. Some of the remodels have already been completed. We have the full list and schedule below.

Here are the locations for new Pennsylvania stores:

• Feasterville: 601 Street Rd. E (opening Spring 2016)
• Folsom: 1730 MacDade Blvd (opening Spring 2016)
• Upper Darby: West Chester Pk. and Park Ave (opening Fall 2016)
• Bensalem: 3620 Street Road (opening Summer 2016)
• Cheltenham: Rt. 309 & Limekiln Pk (opening Fall 2016)

• Philadelphia: 9456 State Road; closed 4/5/2016, reopened 5/13/2016
