Wawa Giving Out Free Coffee Thursday, April 13

Get your free coffee Thursday at Wawa.

Wawa is about to turn 53. In honor of its upcoming birthday, the convenience store is offering free coffee to its customers. According to Wawa's website, April 13 is "Wawa Day" and customers can get a free self-serve coffee of any size free of charge.

Customers are limited to one free coffee per person.

Wawa's actual founding date is April 16, 1964 according to its website. The first store opened in Folsom, Pennsylvania as "Wawa Food Market."

But the company is celebrating its birthday a few days early, and we're not mad about it.

"Wawa Day provides us with a chance to connect with and honor the millions of customers we’ve served over the past 53 years who have been so integral to Wawa’s growth over that time,” Chris Gheysens, Wawa’s President and CEO, said.
