Wayne Teen Killed In Center City Road Rage Incident: Reports

WAYNE, PA — A Main Line teen was shot and killed in Center City Philadelphia Wednesday night in what appears to be a road rage-related incident.

Action News reports, Denis Jaward, 17, of Wayne, was shot to death at 15th and Pine streets at about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Police were called to the area for a report of gunshots and found Jaward slumped over in the driver's seat of a Mercedes, Fox 29 reports.

NBC10 reports he was found with gunshot wounds to his neck, shoulder, arm and leg.

He was taken to Jefferson Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Multiple news reports state Jaward was involved in a road rage incident with another driver who was in a Nissan SUV.

According to authorities, a man got out of the Nissan and fired at least four shots into the passenger side of the Mercedes, striking Jaward multiple times.

The gunman got back into the vehicle and drove off, striking another vehicle and two parked vehicles, and eventually got out of the vehicle and ran off with a woman, NBC10 reports.

Police said camera footage from the shooting scene and the crashes will aid them in their investigation into the deadly incident.
