Woman Drunkenly Attacked Medics In Radnor: Authorities​

The Ridley Park woman has been charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault stemming from the July 23 incident in Radnor.

WAYNE, PA – A Ridley Park woman is facing several charges, some being felonies, after a July 23 incident in Radnor Township were she allegedly attacked medics.

Joanne Macclelland, 51, of Ridley Park, faces two counts of felony aggravated assault, two counts of harassment by physical contact, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct, court records show.

Macclelland is set to appear for her preliminary hearing on Sept. 7 in front of Magisterial District Judge Leon Hunter, according to court documents.

Main Line Media News reports the charges were filed after medics arrived at the Wayne Chili's for an ill patron, who was later identified as Macclelland.

Macclelland, while allegedly intoxicated, punched medics while they attempted to put her into the ambulance and cursed at the medics, the outlet reports.
