'Youth Art Month' Exhibit On Display At Radnor High School

The district will celebrate Youth Art Month with an exhibit of works by students from K to 12th grade.

The Radnor Township School District is inviting the community to celebrate Youth Art Month by viewing an exhibit of works by students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Student work will be exhibited through the end of March at Radnor High School (130 King of Prussia Rd).

A special evening reception for the public will be held Thursday, March 17 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Radnor High School lobby.

According to the district, the Pennsylvania Department of Education designates March as Youth Art Month to emphasize the value of art education for all students and to encourage public support for quality school art programs.

"Art education in RTSD is designed to nurture and develop the natural joy of creating visual art; technical skill in art production; an appreciation for arts and artists, past and present, from various cultures; creative and critical thinking and problem solving skills; and visual literacy," the district said in an event announcement.

Art teachers at Radnor Township School District include: Alicia Agatone, Gayle Barwick-Collins, Erik Barrett, Margaret Boyd, Tracey Dean, Susan Eyerly, Tom McLaughlin and Candace Stringer.
