Chelsea Clinton Visits Students In Roxborough

The daughter of the presidential candidate was in town promoting her new book.

Days after her mother gave internationally televised testimony on the infamous Benghazi incident, Chelsea Clinton was in Roxborough, stopping by a local school as part of her book tour.

Chelsea is traveling to 20 different cities around country and the world to tout her new book, “It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going.”

On Tuesday, October 20, Chelsea was slated to stop at Haverford’s Children’s Book World for a reading and a signing of her new book. But earlier in the day, she stopped in to see students at Roxborough’s AMY Northwest Middle School.

She spoke about her book, what led her to write it, and about many of the major issues the world is facing today.

“When I was a kid, I loved the book 50 Simple Things Kids Can Do to Save the Earth and remember wishing there were books like it on other issues I cared about,” Chelsea said on her website. “A couple years ago, I realized there wasn’t a book (at least one I could find!) for kids today that talked about some of the big issues in our world, what’s being done and what kids could do to help make our world healthier, safer and more sustainable. This book is my attempt to do that.”
