The 2011 21st Ward Cooperstown Rebels will be holding a Poker Night on March 12th at the Al Perlman 21st Ward complex. The complex is located on Port Royal Avenue and will be held in the clubhouse. The event is scheduled to start at 6:00 PM.
The Cooperstown Rebels are a tournament baseball team comprised of 15 boys from the 21st ward community. This team started in June of last year and for 13 months practice and play in tournaments until they reach their ultimate goal of playing in Cooperstown Dreams Park against over 100 teams from around the country. This Poker Night will help the team raise much needed funds to accomplish their goal of playing great baseball against some great players.
The tournament will have a buy-in of $60 dollars with opportunities to purchase additional chips if needed. With a minimum of 50 players a guarantee $1,000 first prize can be offered. Food and beverages will be served and included in the tournament fee. If you want to contribute to a great cause and not play poker and hang out with friends there will be a $20 charge to partake of the food and beverages. You must be 21 years old to attend.
