VIDEO: Manayunk Loves Its New Uber Breathalyzer Kiosk: Report

Uber has created a “breathalyzer” kiosk in Manayunk to ensure drivers don’t get behind the wheel after drinking.

The recently installed kiosk typically has a line leading up to it on Friday and Saturday nights, according to a CBS Philly report.

“A safe ride is always a tap away,” the Uber slogan reads on the front of the kiosk screen.

Everyone who uses the kiosk gets a free ride home from Uber up to $20.

“People should be able to know where their blood alcohol level is,” said one woman interviewed by CBS Philly.

The new program launched on Thanksgiving Eve, a year to the date after the body of Shane Montgomery, 21, of West Chester, went missing and was later found dead.
