Philadelphia Schools to Close Early Monday

The School District of Philadelphia has announced it will close early Monday due to the impending snow.

Schools will close at 12:00 p.m., an announcement on the district’s website said.

All after-school activities including all athletic programs and professional development classes are cancelled as well.

A storm watch has been issued for the region, including Philadelphia. Central and Southern New Jersey is also under a storm warning. The northern part of New Jersey is under a blizzard warning.

Travel will be very hazardous or impossible at times, the National Weather Service said.
