RoxArt Stroll Kicks off Saturday

Like many other parts of the city, Roxborough will also be participating in this week's Philadelphia Open Studio Tours.

During the RoxArt Stroll, scheduled from 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, people will be able to take in local art for free at a number of businesses in Roxborough.

"It's unbelievable," Bernard Guet, executive director of the Roxborough Development Corporation said of the artwork. "It could definitely be displayed a studio downtown."

But, what's great about the event, the director said, is that you don't need to go downtown to see art like this, it's right in your backyard.

Open galleries include:
