Roxborough Woman's Bike Stolen While She Gets Her Nails Done: Cops

ROXBOROUGH -- A Roxborough woman was the victim of a shrewd bike thief one recent March afternoon.

The woman was getting her nails done on the 6200 block of Ridge Avenue at around 4 p.m. on March 11, a Friday, police said.

That's when a teenaged boy stole the bike and began riding it, according to police.

Minutes later, however, the boy was seen riding the bike by the woman's husband.

This would prove to be the bicycle thief's undoing: the husband was the one who had originally bought the bike, a purple Magma.

The husband called the police, and the boy was swiftly arrested, police said.
