Roxborough Writer Headed to Spiral Bookcase Saturday

Are you a fan of science fiction and still looking for something to do this weekend? If so, has you covered.

Roxborough resident Michael Swanwick will be at the store Saturday  from 3 to 5 p.m. to read excepts from and sign copies of his newest book Dancing With Bears as well as his award-winning book Stations of the Tide.

Swanwick has received a number of awards including the Hugo, Nebula, Theodore Sturgeon and the World Fantasy Award for his work. His book Radio Waves, which is set in Manayunk and Roxborough, received the world Fantasy Award.

His stories have appeared in a number of publications including Asimov's High Times, New Dimensions and Omni and several of his books were on the New York Times Noteable Book list.

His books are available for pre-order at the shop and light refreshments will be provided at the event.
